Real Wedding | June 2017

Every now and then a wedding day seems to fall together effortlessly. The weather cooperates, there seems to be more than enough time for everything, and everyone is relaxed, happy, and fun.

Emily and Derek’s Rock Creek Gardens wedding was that kind of day. Rock Creek Gardens is such an awesome venue. We spent five minutes walking the property and had about a million ideas before heading inside to capture some getting ready photos.

The day progressed much like weddings do. With the amazing addition of their pup, Fitz, as ring bearer. As sunset came around we decked out a small rowboat with garland from the ceremony. We had the opportunity to photography Emily and Derek in the small pond at Rock Creek Gardens! Not to mention the trust Emily and Derek have in each other to be in a row boat together in a wedding dress and suit! That’s one of the things we love about adventurous couples. Their willingness to trust one another to accomplish an epic photo. Whether it’s hiking up a mountain or getting in a row boat on your wedding day.
