New Policy 2024:

A licensed, professional Day of Coordinator is required for all weddings at the Gardens. The Gardens offer an in-house Day-of-Coordination service for an additional fee, providing unique insights into the Gardens. See below.

Outside DOCs are also permitted, provided they meet our policy criteria.

A DOC must provide no less than the following:

  • Works with couple no later than 2 months (8 weeks) before the wedding date;

  • Creates detailed wedding day timeline;

  • Involved in venue pre-wedding meeting;

  • Attends and directs rehearsal;

  • Manages timeline on the wedding day;

  • Point of contact for vendors, including the RCG Venue Host; and

  • The Day of Coordinator must checkout and sign off with an RCG Venue Host at the end of the event.

Due to changes in our policies for 2024, please refer to your venue contract to confirm whether a DOC is required for your event.

A Gardens Coordinator has all the knowledge and experience of an outside coordinator but with the added benefit of having a unique insight into what works best at the Gardens.

The addition of a Day of Coordinator is essential for wrapping up last-minute details and assisting during the day so you can focus on getting married. An initial planning meeting about eight weeks prior to the wedding will provide all the details needed to create a detailed timeline, wedding logistics, reception floor plan, and more. Then, a week or two before your wedding, we will take over all vendor communication and ensure loose ends are tied up. The coordinator will conduct your on-site rehearsal and wedding day from start to finish.

A Venue Host will be present to ensure all venue-related items are handled so that the Coordinator can focus on you the entire time.

    Do you have a favorite part about coordinating weddings and events?

    I just love getting to know each couple, and in doing so it brings a fun, relaxed vibe to the whole day. I have the best job in that I get to help people celebrate!

    What is your favorite part about the Gardens/property?

    My favorite part about the Gardens is when the sun begins to set, it brings the most gorgeous lighting; my favorite spot is near the archway with the trees and lights…it’s so hygge to me. It’s truly a magical place.

    Where are you from? How long have you been here in WA?

    I was born and raised in Puyallup. I have also lived in California, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Vancouver WA before returning back to the Puyallup area 4 years ago.

    Fun fact about your wedding

    We had a small ice cream cake to cut. Unfortunately, the caterers were unable to keep it frozen (it was August!) and our cake melted. It all worked out though, we fed each other the ice cream cupcakes the guests were being served instead, and no one even knew what had happened!

    One of my favorite parts about being a wedding coordinator is being able to connect with the bride and groom and help their special vision come to life! It's very important to me to help the couple have the day they are working so hard to achieve!

    My favorite spot at the Gardens is under the arch. A great spot for romantic first look photos!
